Computer Tune-Up
Clean out those digital cobwebs.
Sometimes there is nothing wrong with a computer, but it just doesn't have the punch it did when it was new. Over time computers tend to collect digital dust. Old software takes up unnecessary space, there are too many programs running in the background that are unneeded, files don't open quickly anymore. We can fix these annoyances with a Computer Tune-Up. Give us an hour with a machine and we can turn it into a finely tuned engine again.
We will perform the following actions for each computer:
Hard Drive Defragment
Over time files on a hard drive become fragmented. This causes file operations to slow down due to the increased effort in locating all the parts of a file. Defragmenting will fix this problem and increase hard drive performance.
Spyware and Virus Detection
We all know how dangerous viruses can be to a machine, but Spyware can be just as big a problem. During out computer tune-up we will do a complete scan and removal of all known viruses and spyware applications.
Remove Unneeded Services
Newer Windows Operating Systems come preconfigured with many 'behind-the-scenes' services running. Many of these services are only needed in rare circumstances. We can disable many of these unneeded services which will improve the overall performance of the machine.
